What is the use for a wood root bowl
A free-form bowl is made of the root of a tree. Has the gorgeous, swirling grain and rich variations in color often found in root wood. Finished with a food-safe oil-varnish finish. I feel that free-form bowls like this one can have a uniquely organic beauty and visual interest that’s missing from bowls turned on a lathe. I also enjoy the creative pleasure of coming up with an appealing shape that makes good use of the piece of wood I’m working with.
